Faerie Films Set to Shake Things Up with All Jacked Up
Documentary to be available for theatrical distribution
previews this summer
Laguna Beach, CA – April 23, 2007 - Faerie Films, LLC, currently in post production on All Jacked Up, is intent on exposing the truth behind the ‘junk diet’ of today’s teens. The documentary takes an honest look at everyday teens and their struggles. These issues are explored by field experts as the film digs into “the system” that preys on the apathy of today’s youth in the name of profit.
Four genuine teenagers are profiled in the film, from a fast food junkie to a bulimic. “Our film’s kids experience typical problems that any teen can relate to,“ says Jennifer Mattox, director of the film and founder of Faerie Films. “This connection bonds the audience to the screen which allows us to delve into other important subjects.”
“All Jacked Up is unique in that where most documentaries fall short, this film unveils hope and inspiration through simple solutions,” says Doug Clemons, producer. “Kids need to take command of their future and the film makes teens aware that they are being manipulated by big food manufacturers while their parents, school, and government stand idly by.”
The film company is confident it has developed the ideal formula to attract a teen audience: real teen drama seasoned with alarming discoveries, absurdities, sardonic humor, and popular music. “Our teen audience will be curious and even disturbed enough to take the simple action we encourage in the film,” Clemons concludes.
“Kids need to know what’s truly going on behind the scenes of what they are eating and how they can choose to create a better future for themselves, and even the world,” says Mattox. “We intend to shake things up through the release of All Jacked Up by supporting and encouraging activism among today’s youth.”
Faerie Films expects to complete the film and make it available for theatrical distribution this summer. thea
