Michael's varied background includes the founding,
with five others, of the Iris Forum, the first
multi-partisan environmental think-tank; a
national youth issues-awareness campaign with
the New Paradigm Institute; scientific health
and environmental data-sharing and scientific
modeling with the Regional Workbench and National
Partnership for Advanced Computational Infrastructure;
ethnography and user interface design with
the UCSD Distributed Cognition Laboratory;
ecological research in the School for Field
Studies; and a self-designed multi-disciplinary
B.S. on the interaction between cognition
and our natural, social, and technological
environments. Michael's expression in work
is to empower another to succeed. When motivated
by admiration for a vision, idea, project,
or another person's life, he is inspired to
depict it to the world. Artists are the force
that help ideas spread freely around the world.
His viewpoint on leadership and society stems
from the fact that because people naturally
raise cultural leaders, therefore institutional
leaders, execuitives, and politicians must
be connected with culture.
